The executive board enjoyed a very productive summer meeting on Thursday, June 18 at Ridgeland High School. There were many topics covered and many proposals considered. Some changes to contest policies and procedures were made and are outlined in the minutes. All circuit members should read these minutes and become familiar with all changes made. The official documents will be amended to reflect these changes. The minutes are available HERE .

The Louisiana Guard and Percussion Circuit will be hosting a summer workshop on June 27th at Denham Springs HS 9am-5pm. Guest Clinician will be Randy Nelson and Sue LeBreque. Mr. Nelson will we speaking on all aspects of building a world championship guard program. Topics will range from audtioning, budget concerns, costuming, staffing etc. He will also have a live staging class with members of the DSHS color guard. Sue LeBreque will offer her expertise in acting, flag technique and movement for students.
The tuition cost per student is $25.00 and $40.00 per director/instructor. If an instructor/director brings 4 students his/her tuition is waved. Please consider this opportunity for the growing color guard activity along the Gulfcoast.
